One of the most impressive things about Venice is that this city was built on water, which makes it a truly unique destination. I actually watched a video with my nephew of how the houses were built back in the day in Venice and it was mind-blowing. Like people back then, really knew what they were doing. How did we lose that?
Probably, due to its uniqueness, Venice is a very touristy city, but it is worth experiencing, at least once. When you do visit, you can ride along the canals in a gondola, admire the stunning architecture of the buildings, and get lost in the labyrinth of the tiny streets.

Don’t forget to stop and enjoy a coffee and cake in one of their cafes. We stopped for coffee at Caffè del Doge and the tiramisu was exceptional.
